This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) complements the Dahua Technology USA Inc. Website Privacy Policy and applies solely to visitors, users, and others who reside in the state of California (“Consumers” or “you”) and who interact with our website https://us.dahuasecurity.com, including any subdomains and any content, functionality and services offered on, by or through it or them (the “Site”). Dahua Technology USA Inc. (the “Company”, “we”, “our” or “us”) adopts this Notice to comply with the California Privacy Rights Act other applicable California privacy laws (collectively “CPRA”) and. Capitalized terms used but not defined in this Notice have the meaning assigned to them by the CPRA.

Please note that some of this information, such as an IP address connected to your internet usage, may qualify as Sensitive Personal Information under the CPRA. However, we do not use such information or purposes other than those set forth in section Cal. Code Regs. tit. §7027(m).

Disclosing Personal Information

We may disclose Personal Information that we collect or you provide as described in this Notice:

  • To our subsidiaries and affiliates to facilitate our business activities.
  • To Service Providers (e.g., our website host) in order to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep Personal Information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.
  • To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all the Company’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which Personal Information held by the Company about the Site users is among the assets transferred to facilitate a smooth user experience.

  • Right to Disclosure of Information: You have the right to request that we disclose certain information regarding our practices with respect to Personal Information. If you submit a valid and verifiable request and we confirm your identity and/or authority to make the request, we will disclose to you any of the following at your direction:
    • The categories of Personal Information we have collected about you in the last 12 months.
    • The categories of sources for the Personal Information we have collected about you in the last 12 months.
    • Our business or commercial purpose for collecting that Personal Information.
    • The categories of third parties with whom we share that Personal Information.
    • The specific pieces of Personal Information we collected about you.
    • If we disclosed your Personal Information to a third party for a business purpose, a list of the Personal Information types that each category of recipient received.
  • Right to Delete Personal Information: You have the right to request that we delete any of your Personal Information collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions. Upon receiving a verified request to delete your Personal Information, we will do so unless otherwise authorized by law.
  • Right to Correct your Personal Information: If you find that we maintain any inaccurate Personal Information, you have the right to request that we correct such inaccuracy.
  • Right to Out of the Sale or Sharing of Your Personal Information: You have a right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of your Personal Information. However, as we neither sell nor share your Personal Information as the terms are defined by the CPRA, we do not provide you with a link to opt out. Consequently, we also do not sell or share the Personal Information of individuals under the age of 16.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: You have the right not to be discriminated against for the exercise of your California privacy rights described above.

How We Process Opt-Out Preference Signals

If you broadcast an Opt-Out Preference Signal via your web-browser (e.g., Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) on the browsers and/or browser extensions that support such a signal) your request to opt-out of sale/sharing will be linked to your browser identifier and we will respect the signal and opt you out of the sale or sharing of your Personal Information. If you choose to visit the site from a different browser in the future, you will need to re-broadcast the GPC signal from the new browser.

Exercising Your Rights

To exercise the access, data portability, and deletion rights described above, please submit a verifiable consumer request to us by either:

We endeavor to respond to a verifiable consumer request within forty-five (45) days of its receipt. If we require more time (up to a total of 90 days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing (which may include email).

In order to protect your privacy and the security of your information, we verify consumer requests by requesting identification documents and other documentation necessary to confirm your identity.  Any additional information you provide will be used only to verify your identity and not for any other purpose.

Other California Privacy Rights

California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section § 1798.83) permits users of our website, https://us.dahuasecurity.com, including any subdomains and any content, functionality and services offered on, by or through it or them (the “Site”), who are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please send an email to privacy.usa@dahuatech.com.

California Do-Not-Track Disclosures

Some web browsers incorporate a “Do Not Track” feature that signals to websites that you visit that you do not want to have your online activity tracked. How browsers communicate the Do Not Track signal is not yet uniform. For this reason, the Site does not currently interpret, respond to or alter its practices when it receives Do Not Track signals. Please note that third parties may collect Personal Information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you visit the Site or other online websites and services.

Authorized Agents

As a California resident, you have the right to appoint an authorized agent to assert your rights on your behalf. If you want to make a request as an authorized agent on behalf of a California resident, you may use the submission methods noted above. As part of our verification process, we may request that you provide, as applicable, proof concerning your status as an authorized agent.  In addition, we may require the individual on whose behalf you are making the request to verify their own identity or your permission to submit the request.

Changes to Our Privacy Notice

We reserve the right to amend this Notice at our discretion and at any time. When we make changes to this Notice, we will post the updated Notice on the Site and update the Notice’s effective date. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.

Our Policy Regarding Children

We do not knowingly collect the Personal Information of children under the age of 16. If we find that we have collected such information, we shall take steps to remove it. This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) complements the Dahua Technology USA Inc. Website Privacy Policy and applies solely to visitors, users, and others (“Consumers” or “you”) who reside in the states of Colorado, Virginia, Utah, and Connecticut and who interact with our website https://us.dahuasecurity.com, including any subdomains and any content, functionality and services offered on, by or through it or them (the “Site”). This Notice describes your rights pursuant to the Colorado Privacy Act, Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, the Utah Consumer Privacy Act, and Connecticut Data Privacy Act (collectively the “Applicable Laws”). Dahua Technology USA Inc. (the “Company”, “we”, “our” or “us”) adopts this Notice to comply with the Applicable Laws capitalized terms used but not defined in this Notice have the meaning assigned to them by the Applicable Laws.

In the last 12 months, we have not sold your Personal Information, used such information for Targeted Advertising, or used Personal Information to profile in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you as such term has been defined by the Applicable Laws.

At this time, we do not process your Personal Information for purposes of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legally or similarly significant effects concerning a consumer, and therefore, such opt-out rights are not available.

If you want to make a request as an authorized agent on behalf of a Colorado or Connecticut resident, you may use the submission methods noted above.  As part of our verification process, we may request that you provide, as applicable, proof concerning your status as an authorized agent.  In addition, we may require the individual on whose behalf you are making the request to verify their own identity or your permission to submit the request.
