Enhanced Power over Ethernet
ePoE technology offers a plug‐and‐play solution to transmit power and data over long distances via Ethernet or coaxial cables, reducing installation time and saving money. ePoE technology is a viable, cost‐effective solution for extending transmission distances up to eight times over CAT5/CAT6 cables and for converting existing, coax‐based analog systems into IP systems.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology brings a new level of video surveillance analytics to the security industry. Dahua offers Intelligent Video System (IVS) analytics at the edge as a standard feature on all Pro and Ultra Series IP cameras. IVS adds sense and structure to video data enabling users to search through data faster. Video content analysis improves the efficiency of a video surveillance system by using intelligent functions that survey a scene in real time and send alerts when a particular event is detected. This includes tripwire violations, intrusion into a defined area, and abandoned or missing objects. Additional advanced analytics include facial detection, heat mapping, and people counting. Cameras can also mitigate tampering by recognizing a dramatic scene change and generating a warning message to the operator.
For challenging low-light applications, Dahua’s ultra low-light Starlight Technology offers best-in-class light sensitivity, capturing color details in low light down to less than 0.007 lux. The camera uses a set of optical features to balance light throughout the scene, resulting in clear images in dark environments.
Auto-tracking maximizes the capabilities of a Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) camera. Triggered manually or automatically by defined rules, the camera can zoom in and track the defined target in a single scene, panoramic scene, or across multiple scenes. Select Dahua PTZs have this innovative function.
Built-in Intelligent Video System (IVS) functions include people counting and heat mapping, advanced features that bring business intelligence to a security system. Intelligent analysis tracks and stores daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly people flow through a defined scene and produces a configurable report. The system uses this data to produce a heat map, a two-dimensional representation of data that provides an immediate visual summary of information. People counting and heat mapping can identify the most active areas of a given location, providing valuable data analysis for commercial applications.
Ultra-High Definition (UHD) 4K is the video surveillance resolution of the future, delivering four times the resolution of HD 1080p cameras for superior picture quality and image clarity. 4K resolution improves the clarity of a magnified scene to view and record crisp forensic video, an excellent choice for applications that require both fine detail and broad coverage. Dahua offers 4K in IP camera models, and was first-to-market with a 4K over coax (HDCVI) solution.
