Seeing in the Dark for Around the Clock Security

Security cameras for low-light environments are not a one-size-fits-all solution. Each application has its own set of challenges, lighting constraints, and budget requirements. At Dahua, we understand this dilemma and are proud to offer two technologies to suit every low-light application: Starlight and Night Color. Each technology has three tiers—Basic, Enhanced, and Plus—to give you plenty of options to choose the low-light camera that fits your needs and budget.

For security applications that require color images, our Night Color cameras can render full-color footage regardless of lighting levels. For applications that can use both color or black-and-white images, our Starlight cameras will produce clear monochrome images when lighting conditions are too low to render color images.

Learn more about Starlight and Night Color technology below.

Multiple Low-light Levels to Meet Your Needs

Basic Starlight
Good low-light performance for applications down to 0.008 lux. Features an IR cut filter to produce clear monochrome images when lighting is too low to produce color images.

Enhanced Starlight
Enhanced low-light performance for applications between 0.007 lux to 0.005 lux. Features an IR cut filter to produce clear monochrome images when lighting is too low to produce color images.

Starlight+
Good low-light performance for applications down to 0.004 lux. Features an IR cut filter to produce clear monochrome images when lighting is too low to produce color images.

Basic Night Color
White-light LEDs provide full-color images when motion is detected.

Enhanced Night Color
White-light LEDs provide full-color images throughout the night until lighting is restored.

Night Color+
Full-color images in near dark scenarios without the use of white-light LEDs.

Low-light technology provides security even in no-light settings.
